Project: DIY Arts and Crafts

Image
Nhoru Dominic V. Ortega 1st year BMMA  For the DIY Arts and Crafts project that I did, I used old carboard cuts that I used before from an another project in past, to make a shelf for me to store in my drawing journals and drawing tablet. After measuring and cutting the old carboard pieces, I prepared my glue gun to stick each pieces together to form the DIY shelf. After putting the pieces of carboard together, I made sure that it is together properly, and then I tested it by putting my stuff in it. to see if it can handle my drawing tablet, as well as my other drawing journals. After testing the DIY cardboard shelf I made, I put my stuff in it to show the final output of my work, which is very useful to me because it organizes my stuff with easy access, I've only able to use old cardboard in this project because I wasn't able to find some paint in the house for me to use on the cardboard, but all in all, I enjoyed making this shelf and I find it very useful to me, that is all

Activity 6: Art Nouveau Style Design

Image
Nhoru Dominic V. Ortega Art Nouveau Style for Jewelry in this drawing I drew three gems for a necklace that is surrounded by Art Nouveau Style frames, i drew inspirations from leaf grasses which are random but are do sometimes have patterns. Art Nouveau Style for Ceramics in this drawing I drew a ceramics pattern which are also based from grass leaves then I added some lines to extend its symmetrical pattern. Art Nouveau Style for Clothing in this drawing I drew a pattern of corns which I based from. and gave it a Art Nouveau Style aesthetic to it to make it look presentable for a clothing design. Art Nouveau Style for Fabric in this last drawing for the Fabric design, I based the drawing from a flower which may look messy and random, but it is a design I meant to do to represent how sometimes flowers can also be random and full of detail.

Project: Recreate a Renaissance Art

Image
I chose the painting called Mona Lisa  by Leonardo da Vinci . it is one of the most emblematic portraits in the history of art, it is located at the Louvre. The Mona Lisa  is a very realistic portrait, the subject's softly sculptural face shows Leonardo's skillful handling of sfumato, an artistic technique that uses subtle gradations of light and shadow to model from, and shows his understanding of the skull beneath the skin. Here is the comparison: As you can see, I wasn't able to recreate the style on how Leonardo created the Mona Lisa, which is why I recreated the Renaissance Art using my style and base on how I can do so far.
